Regional Director of Operations

Regional Director of Operations
 
The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for developing and implementing short-term and long-term objectives to oversee and monitor development and progression in performance over a specified region, assuring compliance with company standards; ensuring excellent internal and external communication skills to maintain superior support and services.  Responsibilities also include working with all levels within a fast-paced and deadline-driven organization.


Job Duties:
     
• Manages all aspects of a Service Company, including personnel, facilities, daily operations and safety.
• Responsible for profit and loss.
• Manages cost control program as it pertains to Operations.
• Develops and implements short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies and procedures; and stays current with industry trends and forecasts future capabilities.
• Provide input for course of action to be taken in situations where advance notice of operational change is provided.
• Run reports, monitor daily reporting data, and utilize to schedule employees, manage resources and reward/counsel employees for productivity.  Coordinates and tracks work flow, schedules, projects and committee decisions.
• Incorporates principles of teamwork with all organizational levels in the research, analysis, resolution, completion and follow-up of various responsibilities; coaches and mentors team members of varying levels of experience
• Responsible for supervisory functions on all shifts; manage the counseling process by monitoring employee productivity, and other performance markers
• Implements training initiatives for staff which includes ensuring training for promotional opportunities.
• Ensures that safety, recognition, and operational meetings are being held in order to promote communication and morale.
• Performs other projects and/or tasks as assigned and/or needed.



Skills/Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of operations management.  
• Strong Leadership background required
• Must understand how to motivate and provide supportive leadership (this would include practicing a “coaching” style of management that utilizes collaborative and team directed approaches to managing employees).
• Must be able to multi-task and understand the role of prioritizing to drive task and project completion.
• Must have proven customer-facing experience
• Must possess a general knowledge of business processes such as financial, budgeting, and other related principles.
