.NET Software Developer

MasTec is looking for a .Net Developer.

Job Purpose:

Develops information systems by designing, developing, installing, and supporting software solutions.

Duties:

• Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
• Develops approaches and strategies that minimize time to market and maximize investments in commercial off the shelf products.
• Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
• Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
• Obtains and licenses software by obtaining required information from vendors; recommending purchases; testing and approving products.
• Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
• Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
• Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle.
• Independently manage projects including projects outside of development roles.
• Ability to balance competing priorities with tight deadlines
• Travel required to client, field office, partner, and vendor locations.

Skills/Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

• 3-5 years .NET Experience (various frameworks), SDLC, VB.NET, C#, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio 2005/2008
• Experience developing desktop and server applications and services
• Experience developing applications for mobile devices (.NET CF, Windows Mobile 5+)
• Experience developing LDAP applications (AD DS, AD LDS/ADAM)
• Object-oriented design and Services Oriented Architectures including SOAP, WSDL and Web Services
• Multi-tier application development
• Experience with version control tools such as Team Foundation Server
• 3-5 years administering, developing, and interacting with various RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle) in both transactional and data warehouse settings
• (X)HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript (including AJAX and frameworks)
• Analyzing Information, Software Design, Software Debugging, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Problem Solving, Teamwork, Software Development Fundamentals, Software Development Process, Software Requirements, Agile Software Development
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Highly Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of extending Microsoft products such as MOSS through APIs and extensions
• Windows API experience
• In-depth experience with Microsoft Enterprise Server products such as BizTalk, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Integration Services, Analysis Services, Active Directory, etc.
• Experience interacting/developing with enterprise phone/dialer systems (e.g. I3)
